Dr. and Mrs. McCarthy are HERE!!

We've been married for 9 days, TODAY! And other than a yucky cold I inherited from the plane ride, the entire week was absolute love and bliss!

Boy, oh boy! Arn't we behind with updating our blog? Chris and I just returned from our Honeymoon in St. Lucia - we had the most wonderful time and we highly suggest others to use SANDALS resorts - all inclusive and gorgeous on the island of St. Lucia.

We plan to update the blog as soon as we can, with pictures from the wedding and the honeymoon just as soon as we get the photos and relax after Christmas!

Take care everyone and MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!

Engagement Session

This is a sneak peek at our Engagement photos. Sorry for the poor clarity - We don't actually have full priveleges to these photos yet, so we downloaded them the best we could! Chris and I chose to go to Edisto Island for our engagement photo session and we are SO glad that we did - There were about 200 photos taken altogether, so I had to narrow down only a few for early "peekers". Our photographer is wonderful http://www.amywoodphotography.com/ and will travel anywhere in S.C. to do photo shoots.

BBQ and a Shower!

It was an absolutely gorgeous Sunday with our families and closest friends present! My sister and her husband prepared the scrumptious BBQ and Lauren and Kate made the desserts and awesome autumn games for the kids as well as for some adults!!

It was such a perfect day in every way! Chris and I are truly blessed.

WAY TOO MUCH FUN! The bowling ball pumpkin eventually became remainders of chunks!

Spartanburg Trolley Ghost Tour

BOO! Kate, Susie, Lauren, Micah, Chris and I went on a very spooky, enjoyable and historical Ghost Tour of Downtown Spartanburg and had a ball!! Check out some of the scenes, supposedly, you might find a ghost or two in these!
We promise that none of these pictures have been touched up...they are actually pretty cool however. For some reason, very few pictures came out clear.
Ooh,eee, ooh, eee, ooh....

The tour began at the Old Spartanburg Train station which is now built over a cemetary. Apparently at night, you can see a man walking the tracks WITHOUT a head and carrying a lantern. This was a photo taken as the train was approaching. WEIRD! And the other photo is what shows up when we clicked at nothing in the cemetary....

I couldn't go without my Ghost radar to get better ghoulish reception! It's too bad the goose-bumps didn't show up in this picture.

This is by far my favorite photo....it was pitch dark in the trolley and as an intense, haunting ghost story was being told in the cemetary, Chris suddenly flashed this picture...This picture says it all!! SPOOKS everywhere!!

My Co-Workers

These are my Speech therapy co-workers. Susie is the newest team member who came from Ball State, Indiana - We wore t-shirts to work one day that she had previously given us, to "commemorate" her joining our team! Pictured here is: Kate, Lauren, Susie then me!

The new fence!

I guess my brain is overloaded with wedding planning. Also the fact that every moment Chris and I have a chance to be together we try to do nothing that involves the computer!! So, here's to catching up over the past few months!

BIG Project...Chris' folks came up on another "Work-Weekend" busting their fannies to put up one of the most beautiful fences I've ever seen! These pictures do not do it justice - I feel so blessed to know that my future in-laws take time to help Chris and I out with our "dreams and ideas." NOW, the dogs can play in the back yard!

Gus and Maggie could not be happier!

Summertime Cruisin'

This is by far one of the biggest highlights of a road-trip with Gus!

Maggie could probably care less :)

Mom's Birthday

For Mom's birthday, Chris and I made some improvements and repairs to the lakehouse - quite a weekend work-out, but definitely worth it and she was SO excited to see what we did!

Okay, so this picture is a little scary...With a little photo shop, Chris can do just about anything. The story behind this is...just as we were relaxing for the evening, a huge cicada fly hit Chris in the head. It was SO loud and the dogs were going nuts. Hopefully you can watch our little video clip to hear it. Sorry we sound so "hick"...we were tired and not speaking clearly!!

WE LOVE EDISTO!

Chris and I enjoyed another great trip to Edisto. Thomas and Sarah loved being at the beach. Everyone on the beach kept their eyes on them to make sure that they didn't bring the seagulls their way!

Yep, Thomas is growing up and really wanted to have this cool necklace with a shark's tooth - I think Suzannah is VERY proud or either shocked! Wadaya do?

Dad and Jimmy went fishing and caught this bonnet head shark. The smallest of many for Jimmy later on in the trip. CHECK-OUT what camera-effects can do to the size of this shark as Gail holds it! :)

It was pretty obvious that Sarah didn't want to touch the shark. hee,hee
