Let the New Year bring cheer!

I don't know how good of a job I will be doing to keep up a blog, as I feel like I'm keeping photos and notes in all sorts of places these days! It has been more than a year since my last entry and to conclude last year, Dad passed away at the end of June after a brave battle with lung cancer and each day never passes without thoughts of him. We are so thankful for the incredible memories he left with all of us, but it is still extremely hard to believe that he's not with us on Earth, but he definitely is in spirit.

Our good news began in January when Chris and I saw a fertility specialist after "trying" for about a year and BAM! It happened :) As of tomorrow, we will be 14 weeks along. Our due date is Nov 6. I feel great, but have had my weeks of mild nausea, constipation and fatigue. Most of that has passed now and I am feeling well - just the occasional craving to sleep in the middle of the day!

THIS IS OUR FIRST ULTRASOUND AT 6 wks
THIS IS ME AT 8 weeks,
not really showing yet, but I can tell you that I've started having to wear maternity pants THIS week!

This ultrasound was taken at 9 weeks and it's amazing to see how much the baby has grown!
The next ultrasound will not be for aother 6-7 weeks still when we find out if the baby is a boy or a girl! We had a fetal doppler yesterday and the baby's heart rate was 140 bpm!
