16 Day Trip in ALASKA!

This is a MUCH-abbreviated preview of our Alaskan trip! Sorry, it takes too long to upload the hundreds of pictures & video that we took!

Alaska was by far the greatest vacation ever - check out this first photo - obviously Chris got a little happy with photoshop!
Our first 7 days of the trip was on a Cruise Ship and we highly recommend it! This was a first for both of us, our particular ship is considered the elite of the Royal Caribbean - Celebrity Cruises and our ship was called "Millineum". http://www.celebritycruises.com/

Amongst beautiful images from the cruise ship, our shore excursions made the trip that much more enjoyable!

First stop was Ketchican "First City of Alaska" where we took the t.v. program's "Deadliest Catch" retired crab fisherman boat (The Aleutian Ballad)out for an excursion - along the way, we saw dozens of eagles flying off of a point of land - it was awesome!

Another port-of-call was Skagway, AK. We took a helicopter to the top of a glacier and went dog mushing! WOW - the visibility was horrible, but the dog sledding was awesome. We were stuck on the glacier an hour before the helicopter felt safe to travel.

We went to Hubbard Glacier in the cruise ship and watched calving to form icebergs.

We took a trian to Denali and went to the state park that contains Mount McKinley - that we could never see because of low cloud coverage unfortunately. We saw foxes, grizzly bears, caribou, moose, a wolf chasing a herd of caribou, ptarmigans and other animals.

We stayed at the McKinley Chalet and on our last full day, we took 4-wheelers throughout a mountain & across streams! Woo hoo!
Throughout Anchorage, there were many large flowers and plants and amongst them, a Cabbage Patch Kid! Just kidding!
